Out with the old

The previous Lagoon website was outdated and lacked responsiveness, making it difficult for customers to interact effectively. Key functionalities were missing, such as the ability to place orders or make reservations online, and there was no option to view the full menu.

Embracing Tomorrow

Lagoon Restaurant approached me with a request to revamp their website, which had become dated and didn't quite reflect the vibrant atmosphere of their establishment. They were looking for a complete overhaul, and I was excited to dive into the challenge, knowing it was time for a fresh, new approach.

My focus was on completely redesigning the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), aiming to create a site that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also intuitive and user-friendly. To ensure that the redesign addressed the real needs of the users, I conducted thorough research, gathering valuable feedback from both customers and the restaurant owners. This process was instrumental in identifying the key areas that needed improvement.

One of the most significant issues I discovered was the lack of essential features that are now standard for any modern restaurant website. The previous site lacked an online menu, online ordering capabilities, and an option for customers to make reservations directly through the site. Addressing these gaps, I integrated these functions into the new design, enabling customers to easily peruse the menu, order food, and book tables online.

In addition to these fundamental improvements, I also introduced a feature to showcase the events hosted by Lagoon Restaurant. This new section not only keeps patrons informed about upcoming events but also adds an engaging aspect to the website.

Importantly, I ensured that the website was fully responsive, providing a smooth and accessible browsing experience across all devices. The final product is a website that not only aligns with Lagoon Restaurant's ethos but also meets the expectations of today's customers.
